What is the fascination with superheroes? Superheroes are idolized as people who have special abilities to save people from dangerous criminals and catastrophic circumstances. We look to them for guidance and strength. Supergirl, Arrow, Flash, and the Legends of Tomorrow show are popular superhero shows on the CW or CBS and Warner Brothers. Superheroes are born from humble beginnings such as Superman who was born on a farm with Martha and Jonathan Kent. His real parents was from the planet Krypton. Superman's parents died on planet Krypton when it exploded due to the nuclear chain reaction of kryptonite, which is Superman's weakness.
Superheroes are seen as invincible, and indestructible. Many of us want to have a superhero in our town or city that will protect us from crime, warlords, gangbangers, and nuclear warfare from other countries in times of war. We remember superheroes that are associated with the S icon on their capes. Here is a picture of the iconic logo for Superman and Supergirl. I am curious whether or not there are real superheroes that are in the world who are fighting crime and helping civilians without revealing their identity to the general public. The world may never know.
Superheroes are not only heroes to the human population, but they are inspirational to us by their display of unselfish heroic acts and devotion to keep the city safe 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is their mission and duty to fulfill this code of honor at all times. But, people also like villains who challenge the power of superheroes and look to shut them down for global domination. In a comic book story, TV show, or movie, conflict is seen as a common element to make the storyline more lively, on the edge, and brings more passion and drama to the superheroes, the villains, and all of the characters.
Superheroes also tend to show a vulnerable side to themselves when villains find out their identity and threaten to hurt their family members or closest friends in their towns. There is a human element of compassion and drive that superheroes show to the audience when they are rescuing people from burning buildings or saving their city from total destruction. They were created solely for people to be inspired by them not only to stop criminals and villains, but their ability to have superhuman powers such as superhuman strength, shooting laser beams from your eyes, and super sonic hearing is a phenomenal and God-like. Wow, I want to possess superhuman strength. I have always wondered how it would be if I can access powers such as flying around in the air or having an arctic icy breath to stop fire blowing villains cold in their tracks. Cool, huh?
